Master of Health Management and Leadership

This course at QUT is designed for people working across various health settings who are inspired to lead. 

This course would benefit managers within health services at every level and those who support health service delivery through research and education. 

This program is ideal for clinicians or anyone in the health sector interested in pursuing a management or executive career in health care.

The Master of Health Management and Leadership develops students' knowledge across the broad scope of health. 

This course prepares graduates to provide leadership in various health services and programs.

Students have the option to choose one of the Internships or Projects in Year 2, Semester 2 (July) of the 2-year course structure.

Academic background and requirement

2.0 year program

You must have a recognised bachelor's degree (or higher qualification) in any discipline.

1.5 year program

You must have one of the following:

  • A recognised bachelor's degree (or higher qualification) in health, business, or law or
  • A recognised bachelor's degree (or higher qualification) in any other discipline plus at least 3 years full-time (or equivalent) professional experience working in health middle management (or higher).

1-year program

You must have completed QUT's Graduate Diploma in Health Management or Graduate Diploma in Health Management and Leadership within the last 7 years.
