The Physics program is available as a major, double major, minor or honours option for a four-year Bachelor of Science degree. 

The Faculty of Science is one of the university’s oldest faculties and was established when UNB was founded in 1785. 

The faculty has an outstanding reputation, both nationally and internationally.

State of the Art Facilities

UNB is home to the country's best and most up-to-date facilities. UNB is one of only a few universities with an MRI, and the chemistry labs are the best in the country. 

UNB students have access to the following facilities:

• Canadian Rivers Institute
• Centre for Environmental and Molecular Algal Research
• Planetary and Space Science Centre
• The Microscopy and Microanalysis Facility
• MRI Research Centre

• Official or notarized transcripts/grades
• Certified translation of the official transcript if it's not in English
• English language proficiency test
• A resume of your education and work experience (if you are over the age of 21)
• Passport or visa documents

• Course requirements:
  • Senior English Literature
  • Senior Math, including Pre-Calculus
  • Senior Chemistry
  • 1 of Senior Physics, Senior Biology or Senior Geology (Senior Physics is required for entry into Health Sciences)
  • 1 elective from group 1 or 2

Group 1: Senior Secondary Additional or Advanced Math, Biology, Chemistry, Computer / Information Technology, French, Geography, History, Geology, Law, Political Science, Science, Physics, Sociology, Environmental Studies.

Group 2: Senior Secondary Accounting, Business Studies, Marketing.

China: 

Senior Middle Two and Three results, as well as a graduation certificate. 

Students may also be asked to report scores from the National College Entrance Examination grades of 70% or above.

India: 

Indian School Certificate Examination, Intermediate Certificate, Higher Secondary School Certificate or All India Senior School Certificate grades 60% or higher OR General Certificate of Education (GCE).

Iran: 

Official copies of High School and Pre-university transcripts. The minimum required grade for entrance is 14.
