The Bachelor of Science in Environment & Natural Resources degree allows you to learn in the outdoor classroom and choose a focus in one of the three majors available

  • Environmental Management
  • Water Resources Management
  • Wildlife Conservation

This interdisciplinary Bachelor of Science in Environment and Natural Resources (BScENR) degree program will train you to understand ecosystems, the needs of species that depend on them, and how they are affected by human activities.

You will take courses across a range of social science, natural science and management subjects, including:

  • ecology
  • soil chemistry
  • environmental economics/sociology & statistics
  • hydrology
  • strategic management and many others

Summer work experiences

These are plentiful, varied and high paying. Approximately 90 percent of the students gain career-relevant summer work earning up to $10-$20,000 per summer.

International students who do not have an English test score or still need to improve their English skills may be accepted into an undergraduate program on the condition that they will complete full-time English Language Training at UNB before starting their undergraduate degree.

Ideal candidates

  • International students who have been accepted to undergraduate or graduate programs at UNB Saint John — or who plan to apply — but who need to improve their English as a condition of their acceptance

Here are the test score requirements for each level of the EAP program:

  • Level 2 (Beginner I): CAEL 10+ | IELTS 2.0 - 3.0
  • Level 3 (Beginner II): CAEL 20 | IELTS 3.5 - 4.0 
  • Level 4 (Intermediate I): CAEL 30 | IELTS 4.5 - 5.0
  • Level 5 (Intermediate II): CAEL 40 | IELTS 5.5

Academic background and requirement

  • Senior English Literature (70% or higher)
  • Senior Math, including Pre-Calculus (70% or higher)
  • Senior Biology or Senior Physics (70% or higher)
  • Senior Chemistry (70% or higher)

China: 

Senior Middle Two and Three results, as well as a graduation certificate. 

Students may also be asked to report scores from the National College Entrance Examination grades of 70% or above.

India: 

Indian School Certificate Examination, Intermediate Certificate, Higher Secondary School Certificate or All India Senior School Certificate grades 60% or higher OR General Certificate of Education (GCE).

Iran: 

Official copies of High School and Pre-university transcripts. The minimum required grade for entrance is 14.
