Business Information Systems Extension major includes an embedded specialisation for accreditation by a professional body. It cannot be studied as part of a double major.

This major will help you gain employment in the business side of IT as a business information systems professional. 

You’ll learn to think critically and innovatively and solve business problems through analysis and technology. 

You’ll focus on how information technology is used to collect and process information in organisations and gain in-depth knowledge of application design, systems implementation and management.

This major comprises the core Business Information Systems major and an embedded specialisation in Business Analysis or Business Technology Development.

You’ll benefit from exposure to the industry through field trips, internships, practical assignments, guest lectures and networking events.

In your final year, you’ll undertake a Capstone Experience.

Australian Year 12 (or an accepted international equivalent)

India:

• Indian School Certificate (ISC): 60% from the best four subjects and at least 60% in English or separate evidence of English competence
• All India Senior School Certificate/ Delhi Senior School Certificate Examination: 60% in the best four subjects and at least 60% in English or separate evidence of English competence
• Higher Secondary School Certificate: 65% in the best five subjects

China:

• Gao Kao: 67% of the overall maximum score, or a grade of 322/480,402/600, 503/750, 543/810 or 603/900

OR 

• successful completion of the first year of a four or five-year Bachelor's degree at a recognised University or authorised degree-granting institution, separate evidence of English competence is required.

Iran:

• Successful completion of the first year of a four-year Bachelor's degree at a Section 1 Higher Education institution listed on AEI CEP, separate evidence of English competence is required.
