Bachelor of Commerce - Management

Management knowledge and skills are valued and needed in small-to-medium enterprises, not-for-profit organisations, large corporations and governments, locally and globally.

Management is about taking a leading role: supervising and mentoring staff, balancing budgets, and ensuring tasks and projects are completed successfully, together with recognising issues such as values, ethics and sustainability. 

It means taking responsibility, being entrepreneurial, getting things done and making the most of your staff and resources.

This major focuses on the key challenges facing managers today and in the future. 

You’ll learn skills in problem-solving, decision-making, critical thinking, communicating with people and handling budgets.

You’ll also learn how organisations work, strategic management, managing change, innovative leadership and incorporating ethics and sustainability into the workplace.

You’ll benefit from exposure to the industry through field trips, internships, practical assignments, guest lectures and networking events.

In your final year, you’ll undertake a Capstone Experience.

Academic background and requirement

Australian Year 12 (or an accepted international equivalent)

 

India:

  • Indian School Certificate (ISC): 60% from the best four subjects and at least 60% in English or separate evidence of English competence
  • All India Senior School Certificate/ Delhi Senior School Certificate Examination: 60% in the best four subjects and at least 60% in English or separate evidence of English competence
  • Higher Secondary School Certificate: 65% in the best five subjects

 

China:

  • Gao Kao: 67% of the overall maximum score, or a grade of 322/480,402/600, 503/750, 543/810 or 603/900

OR 

  • successful completion of the first year of a four or five-year Bachelor's degree at a recognised University or authorised degree-granting institution, separate evidence of English competence is required.

 

Iran:

  • Successful completion of the first year of a four-year Bachelor's degree at a Section 1 Higher Education institution listed on AEI CEP, separate evidence of English competence is required.
