Bachelor of Computing - Cyber Security

This major focuses on the key concepts and challenges in data protection and computer software security.

You will examine both the high- and low-level practical aspects of computer security. 

High-level aspects include cryptography theory, data access policy development and security program management. 

Low-level aspects include computer forensics, network intrusion detection and incident handling.

Graduates have the skills to identify and implement appropriate applications for specific scenarios, as well as an understanding of issues related to the protection of individual rights.

This degree is designed to prepare you for careers in computing.

Essential course prerequisites

Mathematics. Calculus is desirable.

 

India:

  • Indian School Certificate (ISC): 60% from the best four subjects and at least 60% in English or separate evidence of English competence
  • All India Senior School Certificate/ Delhi Senior School Certificate Examination: 60% in the best four subjects and at least 60% in English or separate evidence of English competence
  • Higher Secondary School Certificate: 65% in the best five subjects

 

China:

  • Gao Kao: 67% of the overall maximum score, or a grade of 322/480,402/600, 503/750, 543/810 or 603/900

OR 

  • successful completion of the first year of a four or five-year Bachelor's degree at a recognised University or authorised degree-granting institution, separate evidence of English competence is required.

 

Iran:

  • Successful completion of the first year of a four-year Bachelor's degree at a Section 1 Higher Education institution listed on AEI CEP, separate evidence of English competence is required.
