Bachelor of Business - Accounting (Extended)

If you have a sharp mind, like problem-solving, Accounting is for you if and have an eye for detail. Accountants provide information and analysis critical to ensuring the financial viability of every business. 

You'll develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills and understand professional accounting standards and regulations.

The new Bachelor of Business is an alternative to more traditional business degrees, combining new skills, values, and opportunities relevant to the new economy. 

It's a whole new way of thinking for an entirely new generation of business professionals.

OUTCOMES

You'll be equipped for a career in a range of private or public sector organisations and find work in accounting, administration, auditing, business management, commercial and taxation law, managerial accounting and tax. 

Career paths include government and treasury, forensic accounting, corporate in-house and private practice and consulting.

WORK-INTEGRATED LEARNING (WIL)

You can also gain practical experience by working on internships or projects based on industry or community credit and credit towards your degree. 

With over 150 industry partners, you'll experience various business types and learn from authentic situations. 

This practical, applied approach to learning equips you with the skills needed to stand out for graduate employment positions.

Academic background and requirement

Completion of secondary school comparable to Australian Year 12 or equivalent academic achievement.

Prerequisites: Any General or Applied English subject (Units 3&4, C)

China:

Qualification: GaoKao: Successful completion of the National College Entrance Examination (Gao Kao) with a minimum of 63% of the overall maximum score.

Qualification: Peoples Republic of China Senior Middle School Graduation Certificate

A grade average of 91 in the final year results OR successful completion of a recognised pre-tertiary or foundation program OR successful completion of one year of study at a recognised tertiary or higher education institution is required in addition to the completion of High School studies.

India:

All India Senior School Certificate or Comparable Qualification (awarded by CBSE or CISCE): An overall grade average of 65% in the best four academic subjects

Iran:

Qualification: Iranian High School Diploma (before 2019): Grade average of 17.7 in the final year results

Qualification: Iran Pre-University Certificate or Iranian High School Diploma from 2019: Grade average of 12.3 in the last year's results

Foundation Study: 

Suppose you do not meet the academic entry criteria for your degree. In that case, you may be able to study a foundation or diploma program to gain direct entry into the equivalent Griffith University bachelor's degree.
