Students may only undertake a language major in which they are not native speakers.
Language courses must be taken in sequence by the prerequisites specified. Students may commence in either their first or second year, depending on their level of proficiency.
Those who have completed Year 11 and 12 language study at secondary school or have some other level of proficiency should contact the School of Humanities, Languages and Social Science at Griffith to discuss the level at which to enrol.
You will be prepared for a career in translation and interpreting, tourism and hospitality, publishing and journalism, sales and marketing, advertising and public relations, international business, law, commerce, and the arts.
You can also gain practical experience by working on internships or projects based on industry or community credit and credit towards your degree.

A grade average of 91 in the final year results OR successful completion of a recognised pre-tertiary or foundation program OR successful completion of one year of study at a recognised tertiary or higher education institution is required in addition to the completion of High School studies.
