Biomedical science helps society by applying new scientific knowledge to medicine and healthcare. In this degree, you will understand health and the methods for diagnosing and treating disease.
You will receive excellent training for entry into the Doctor of Medicine.
You will develop knowledge and skills in the biological and clinical sciences and understand how they can be applied to medicine, biomedical research and healthcare services.
You will be introduced to the basic sciences underpinning biomedical science in your first year.
In your second and third years, you will explore more advanced aspects of the biomedical and clinical sciences, including genetics, biochemistry, cell biology, anatomy, physiology, immunology, microbiology, infectious disease, pharmacology and neuroscience.
You will learn through hands-on, laboratory-based training in the biomedical sciences.

Completion of secondary school comparable to Australian Year 12 or equivalent academic achievement.
Prerequisites: Any General or Applied English subject (Units 3&4, C)
Qualification: GaoKao: Successful completion of the National College Entrance Examination (Gao Kao) with a minimum of 68% of the overall maximum score
All India Senior School Certificate or Comparable Qualification (awarded by CBSE or CISCE): An overall grade average of 77% in the best 4 academic subjects
Qualification: Iran Pre-University Certificate or Iranian High School Diploma from 2019: Grade average of 15.4 fins the final year results
If you do not meet the academic entry criteria for your degree, you may be able to study a foundation or diploma program to gain direct entry into the equivalent Griffith University bachelor's degree.
