Academic background and requirement

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Cyber Security, an applicant must:

  • hold any Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (using a 7.0 point scale)
  • OR hold a relevant Graduate Certificate from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (using a 7.0 point scale).

Students admitted with a Bachelor or Bachelor Honours degree in Information Technology, or Computer Science or equivalent will be eligible for 40 credit points of advanced standing towards the program.

Students admitted with:

  • Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security or
  • Graduate Certificate in Business Cyber Security or
  • Graduate Certificate in Cyber Crime, or
  • Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics and Cyber Security

will be eligible for 40 credit points of advanced standing in the program.
