Designed for students with a chemistry-rich background, the course builds on your existing chemistry knowledge with research and professional skills to investigate, analyze and synthesis complex information, problems, concepts and theories to solve complex problems.
Master's covers the practical and theoretical aspects of chemistry and provides an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities and an awareness of chemistry's social, economic, cultural, and environmental aspects in a global community.
Projects and coursework have been designed to address topical concerns in industry and society, preparing you for further enrollment in a research degree or employment in chemistry-related fields.
The program contains both coursework and research components with a research project.

Applicants who do not meet the University’s English language entry requirements and need to improve their English language proficiency can do so through the approved English Language Instruction Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) providers.

Applicants must normally hold an approved bachelor's degree or equivalent with a major in chemistry or a closely related discipline from an approved institution.
Knowledge of second-year chemistry is assumed.
The Master of Science is not available to students who hold an honours degree in the same discipline.
