These are mandatory and all come with course.
The primary aim of this suite of degrees is to facilitate the transfer of skills from another relevant area of engineering or science and technology to the study of nanotechnology.
Nanotechnology is science at the molecular level.
Nanotechnology, a term that embraces a broad spectrum of technological endeavours across a range of scientific and technical disciplines – such as:
In fundamental scientific research and technological development, chemistry, physics, engineering, and biological and biomedical sciences are attracting tremendous attention in industrialized countries worldwide.
Nanotechnology is predicted to be a technological hallmark of the 21st century.
Interest in nanotechnology from industry, government agencies, investors, entrepreneurs, and the general public is likely to overgrow over the next decade, with growth rates exceeding those seen in other areas of science.
At the core of the second year of the master's is an extended research project in which the knowledge and skills gained in the first year are applied to a specific problem.
The project will also equip you with expert skills in advanced experimental tools in nanotechnology, further enhancing your employment prospects in the industry.

Applicants who do not meet the University’s English language entry requirements and need to improve their English language proficiency can do so through the approved English Language Instruction Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) providers.
This means that you can attend the required English language tuition at approved ELICOS providers and gain direct entry* into university without an IELTS or TOEFL test (in SACE & English College of Adelaide).
Flinders' approved providers are listed below:
TAFE SA, EYNESBURY COLLEGE, SACE, and English College of Adelaide
*Not applicable for Bachelor of Nursing (Pre-Registration) or the Bachelor of Nursing (Graduate Entry)
