This course at Murdoch will prepare you for a range of experiences and roles in the sector in Australia and internationally.
You’ll examine the connections between politics, governance and development, social and environmental sustainability, food and health security, gender and empowerment, state building and conflict, and different approaches to policy and practice.
You can choose from professional-based electives, including financial administration, leading and managing not-for-profit organisations, effective leadership, strategic health care management and project management.
You can also choose policy-based electives specialising in global public health, public sector economics, security and conflict, environmental policy, or add up to two language units in Indonesian or Japanese.
Undertake a case study project, supervised internship or research thesis to put your learning into practice.

Upon completing all AEP course requirements, you are eligible for direct entry at either an undergraduate or postgraduate course with no IELTS test required at Murdoch University (some course exclusions may apply).
International students can also use the internet-based Phoenix English Proficiency Test (iPEPT) for direct entry into Murdoch's courses for all 2022 intakes and 2023 Trimester 1, Trimester 2 and Semester 1 intakes.
