Overview

Master of Architecture

The course at QUT is a two-year Master of Architecture.

The Master of Architecture builds upon your undergraduate architectural knowledge, providing an advanced understanding of architectural design and research, contextual studies, technology and science, and studies for professional practice.

You’ll learn from practising architects and leading researchers with strong local and international industry connections throughout your course.

The QUT curriculum strongly emphasises sustainable systems and the application of advanced digital design tools to address sustainability at every stage of the architectural process.

Upon graduating, you’ll meet the academic requirements for Australian Institute of Architects membership.

Graduates who have also completed two years of practical architectural experience, of which at least one year is postgraduate architectural experience, will be eligible to undertake the Architectural Practice Examination.

This examination will enable them to qualify for registration with any Board of Architects in Australia.
