Marine Biology Major
Learn the role that plants and animals play in marine ecosystems.
Offered at UTAS world-class specialist research and teaching institute, your classroom will include everything from Tasmania’s giant kelp forests and thriving aquaculture industry to the entire Southern Ocean.
In the Marine Biology major students will learn about the plants and animals of temperate marine, southern ocean and Antarctic ecosystems ranging from microscopic plankton to large animals.
Graduates will develop broad skills and knowledge in marine biology that can be applied globally.
