Bachelor of Science course at ECU provides students with the opportunity to engage in high-quality studies across a range of science and mathematics disciplines.
Students specialise in a single major discipline aligned with their interests and aspirations and select a secondary minor area of study to broaden their skills and knowledge base.
Environmental Management is designed for students who want to develop a specialisation in the area of environmental management, including sustainable management of natural areas and urban landscapes.
This major focuses on the multidisciplinary nature of environmental management, equipping students with knowledge and skills across scientific, economic, legal and societal domains.
Students have the opportunity to seek a semester-long Work Integrated Learning placement with an industry partner relevant to the Science and Mathematics discipline.
Students studying on the South West (Bunbury) campus can select a major in Conservation Biology or Environmental Management, and minors in Conservation Biology, Data Science or Environmental Management.
Units undertaken at the South West campus will be delivered as a series of lectures and weekly laboratory classes, supported by technology-enhanced learning and digital content.
There are also practicum weeks in which fieldwork activities are carried out.
