Master of Architecture (Professional)

Already have a degree in architecture? Study the Master of Architecture (Professional) to prepare yourself for a career as a registered architect.

Architecture focuses on the relationship between people and their environments.

You’ll develop a critical approach to architectural design, become familiar with architectural history and contemporary architecture practice, and learn to apply Te Aranga Māori design principles to your work.

What you study

You’ll learn to integrate social and technical knowledge into core design processes and design a range of buildings at different scales and levels of complexity.

The program is mainly studio-based.

At the heart of the program is a design thesis (90 points), an opportunity to develop your research skills and research an area of your interest.
