Intensive English Language Program (IELP) to Undergraduate studies:
If you meet all of Brock’s undergraduate admission requirements except the English language score, we’ll automatically extend an offer to our IELP. Upon completion of this specialized program, you will automatically enter into our undergraduate degree program.
Those who meet undergraduate admission requirements but don’t meet our English language proficiency requirements can apply to the IELP/undergraduate program. As an IELP/undergraduate student, you will first apply to Brock. You must submit an official English proficiency test score, such as TOEFL, IELTS, etc., with your application. Once at Brock, you will write the Brock CamLA placement test. Both tests will be reviewed and typically you will be placed in the IELP level that reflects the higher of the two test scores. Levels range from preparatory to advanced Level 5. Each level or term is 12 weeks long with 25 hours of instruction per week.
It’s common for students to take 1-3 terms to complete Level 5 IELP. Entry into undergraduate degree courses will be in the academic term (January, May or September) immediately following completion of the Level 5 IELP.
