The Master of Engineering at The University of New South Wales is a flexible postgraduate degree delivered by Australia’s leading engineering faculty and designed for students who require an accredited engineering qualification.
You can choose one of nine specialisations:
Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Renewable Energy and Telecommunications.
The Telecommunications stream enables students to specialise and gain depth of knowledge in areas related to recent and advanced aspects of telecommunications, including:
Wireless communications, satellite communications, quantum communications, switching and routers, advanced network architecture, network operation and control, advanced modulation and coding techniques and GPS.
Students will explore a broad range of areas that will support their career opportunities, including:
Students must complete a minimum of pre-approved 60 days of Industrial Training to graduate. Industrial Training must be undertaken concurrently with enrolment in the program.

A pathway for entry into the program for graduates from both 4-year Bachelor of Engineering degrees in non-cognate disciplines, and 3-year Bachelor of Science degrees, exists via:
enrolment first into the Bachelor of Engineering (BE) program, where advanced standing (to a maximum of 2 years) may be granted.
