Overview

Master of Engineering Science (Transport Engineering)

The Master of Engineering Science at The University of New South Wales is for students with a recognised four-year Engineering Degree.

Recent updates and enhanced recognition of prior learning enable students to complete the degree between one to two years, depending on the selected specialisation, accreditation of undergraduate degree, previous study experience and/or relevant work experience.

The Master of Engineering Science (Transport Engineering) is designed to develop skills in modelling and analysing transport systems, both passenger and freight.

The program provides sufficient knowledge about the science and practice of transport engineering, which should be required for students moving to industry.

The typical two-year program, sitting within the UNSW School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, comprises 16 courses and features complex, open-ended, enquiry-based projects as well as many other opportunities to help you become a leader in the field.

In addition, you will develop a systematic approach to solving problems, as well as core project planning skills and the ability to analyse, interpret and communicate results proficiently.

The completion of an enquiry-based project provides a pathway toward postgraduate research degrees.
