Become a specialist in rural development with the leadership, research, and problem-solving skills needed to contribute to and improve the livelihoods of rural industries and communities.
In this field of study at the University of Queensland, you’ll learn skills to help rural communities face global challenges, such as food security, climate change, or competing claims on limited resources about agriculture, food, and the environment.
You’ll take an economical approach to the study of agricultural development from a global level down to the household level and develop practical knowledge and skills to analyse, plan, implement, and evaluate stakeholder engagement programs and activities.
Graduates often find rewarding careers in a wide range of government, commercial, community based or research roles in rural development and agribusiness.
