College Diploma - Mechanical Technician – Machinist

Take control of your future by training in this highly in-demand career field at Canadore College. You will be taught by the industry-trained faculty and staff in the 8,000 sq. ft. lab

Students receive extensive training on manual machines as well as automated Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining equipment and gain skills to produce custom parts for virtually any type of vehicle or machinery. 

Mechanical technicians are sought after in a number of industries including automotive, mining, forestry, and aviation, to name a few.

For the English as a Second Language program, it requires a minimum IELTS score of 3.0; for entry into English for Academic Purposes, a minimum IELTS score of 4.5 is required. 

Both programs run full-time for 8 months. Students beginning in English as a Second Language will then take an additional 8 months full-time of English for Academic Purposes before moving into their program of study.
