Academic background and requirement

2-year (160 unit) Program – Pathway B

  • Bachelor's Degree (AQF 7) in Mechanical Engineering with an equivalent GPA of 4.5 or above.

1-year (80 unit) Program – Pathway C

  • Bachelor's Honours Degree (AQF 8) in Mechanical Engineering with an equivalent GPA of 4.5 or above.

*Graduates of the Newcastle's Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) single and combined programs will have direct entry into the 1-year (80 unit) program.

3-year (240 unit) Program – Pathway A

  • Non-engineering Bachelor Degree with at least 20 units of study in Mathematics (especially calculus and linear algebra); and Science, as related to Mechanical Engineering AND a UON GPA of 4.5 or above.
