On-campus accommodation: Student Living is the University of Newcastle’s award-winning accommodation precinct at Callaghan and Ourimbah campuses. Also Home to over 1,800 students from all over the world, its nine residences offer a variety of living options. It provides various residential options like private apartments or a shared room, private or common facilities, if you want to cook for yourself or have your meals served, we've got it all there!
Off-campus accommodation: there are lots of options close to the University including rooms, apartments and houses. The average rent is 600 to 700 AUD/month. Homestay: Some families who live near the University offer to host students coming from overseas in their homes for short or long stays. The University arranges each Homestay and ensures that all homes and host families are safe and friendly. In this program, you will enjoy the comforts of home in Australia. Our host families will provide you meals and include you in their lives. The campus has strong transport links, making it an ideal study location for many of our students, particularly those who study part-time and work close by.
