Overview

Master of Teaching (Primary)

This postgraduate course will help you learn skills from your undergraduate degree to become a teacher.

You may be looking to change your career, or you've decided, after finishing your undergraduate degree, that teaching is what you want to do.

You'll graduate with this degree at Federation University with the confidence and skills to teach in primary schools across Australia and overseas.

It's a hands-on course that gets you out into the classroom for a minimum of 60 days, where you can put what you've learnt into practice.

You'll discover how children learn and how you can help to develop and support their learning.

You'll look at examples from around the world and learn how to best work with children from diverse backgrounds.

They'll help you improve your English, maths, numeracy and more skills so that when you start work as a teacher, you're as comfortable and qualified as possible.

This 2-year degree may be condensed into 18 months of full-time study or 3 years of part-time study (part-time study is not available to international students).

They provide pathways and options to ensure you can follow your dream and become a great teacher.
