This postgraduate course will help you learn skills from your undergraduate degree to become a teacher.
You may be looking to change your career, or you've decided, after finishing your undergraduate degree, that teaching is what you want to do.
You'll graduate with this degree at Federation University with the confidence and skills to teach in primary schools across Australia and overseas.
It's a hands-on course that gets you out into the classroom for a minimum of 60 days, where you can put what you've learnt into practice.
You'll discover how children learn and how you can help to develop and support their learning.
You'll look at examples from around the world and learn how to best work with children from diverse backgrounds.
They'll help you improve your English, maths, numeracy and more skills so that when you start work as a teacher, you're as comfortable and qualified as possible.
This 2-year degree may be condensed into 18 months of full-time study or 3 years of part-time study (part-time study is not available to international students).

This program requires a total of 480 placement hours across 12 weeks.
CASPer
Compulsory: All applicants must sit the CASPer assessment.
CASPer is a requirement for many of Victoria's initial teacher training courses. It is a non-cognitive online test designed to assess an applicant's personal and professional attributes.

Successful completion of two years full-time equivalent study at a recognised Australian university within the past two years.
(with the proviso that students must prove they meet the English language requirement as determined by the Victorian Institute of Teachers (VIT) to be eligible for registration).
There is no conditional offers for Academic IELTS Overall 7.0 (some bands less than 7.5)
