In the Mathematics for Education program at York, you will combine mathematics and education to develop a wide perspective on the teaching and learning of mathematics.
You will become well-prepared for a rewarding career in mathematics education and find yourself in demand in a market with an ongoing shortage of qualified mathematics teachers.
You will receive a BA Honours degree, and you can complete your teacher qualification with a second degree of BEd (Bachelor of Education) either concurrently or consecutively.
The Mathematics for Education program is flexible - you can do a second major or minor in another subject to gain depth and breadth of knowledge and experience.
