Drama and Creative Arts can lead to a career in various aspects of theater or visual arts, and is also excellent preparation for a career in teaching, public speaking and many other fields.
Glendon's new program in Drama and Creative Arts gives you the opportunity to study the many dimensions of theater or visual art, with a customized blend of classroom study and studio / performance opportunities.
The program has two Honors streams, one in Drama and one in Visual Arts. Your program includes the study of language, literature, critical theory, media, and genres (such as film, television, opera, and more), to help you build the multidisciplinary skills and acquire hands-on experiences much valued in today's workplace.

Pathway to Admission: Applicants who need to improve English proficiency
Students with unsuccessful English language test results can boost their proficiency and still obtain admission to York by completing a program at the York University English Language Institute (YUELI). YUELI provides the highest quality English language instruction, serving over 2,000 students from more than 50 different countries every year.
YUELI's programs include university academic preparation programs for undergraduate and graduate students, summer language institutes and customized programs.
Levels AP1-AP5
Levels AP1-AP5 focus on helping build a solid foundation of English proficiency in all four language skills: Reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Students who successfully complete Level AP5 may apply to the York University English Language Institute’s YUBridge Program, where they can take a class for academic credit while completing the remainder of their language proficiency requirements to be admitted to York.
Levels AP6-AP9
Levels AP6-AP9 focus on the language, critical thinking and study skills required to be a successful student in a university or college setting where English is the language of instruction.
Students who successfully complete Level AP6 are eligible to apply for Conditional Admission* to York University.
