Overview

Master of Construction - Digital Built Environment

Join Massey’s Master of Construction (Digital Built Environment) to gain construction management skills for a modern digital world.

You’ll gain knowledge in the following areas:

  • Application of Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools across the lifecycle of a building project.
  • Examination of data collection and analysis techniques, and their application in construction research.
  • New technologies such as drones, virtual reality, 3D printing, and other technologies as they apply to the construction industry.

You’ll develop a broad understanding of current construction industry operations, systems, and technology. These include:

  • the project life cycle
  • stakeholder management
  • sustainable buildings and smart living spaces
  • lean production
  • offsite construction
  • logistics.

From here you can go deeper into digital technologies in the construction industry, or develop the research skills that will support your further study.

120-credit option

You can complete the Master of Construction with 120 credits of study if you enter via one of these Advanced Entry pathways:

  • a Bachelor of Construction plus two years of professional experience; or
