Overview

Master of Engineering (Engineering Management)

In the Master of Engineering (Engineering Management) program at the UniSA, you will learn the latest theories and professional skills related to engineering management and apply them to:

The core areas cover project management, supply chain management, quality management, operation management and resource management.

In the program's first year, students gain an appreciation of various operational aspects of managing the operations of an engineering organisation.

This includes studies in total quality management, research data analysis, project management principles, engineering economic analysis, sustainable development and design practice, intelligent production systems, and leadership.

Students can choose elective courses in energy and society, robotics and automation, human resource management, strategic procurement, etc.

In the program's second year, students undertake more advanced studies that emphasise engineering operations' strategic management.

This includes considering supply chain management, resource management, project planning control, and operation management.

The program provides integrative management of these various strategic aspects of engineering operations.

Key to this degree is the development and application of research methods and skills.

These will be invaluable when you begin work on your Research Project or Minor Thesis in the second year with a topic of your interest or possible industry-related project.
