Bachelor of Aviation (Pilot Training)

Prepare for a successful career in the skies. 

Undertake flight training at one of two airfields, gain a strong understanding of the global aviation industry and become a pilot.

With RMIT's Bachelor of Aviation (Pilot Training), you'll build the skills to critically review and analyse all aspects of the aviation industry and learn how to work both individually and in teams to solve real industry issues.

Providing a mix of theory and practical experience, this industry-led degree will equip you with problem-solving, communication and leadership skills, preparing you for a career as a professional pilot in this growing industry.  

In addition to extensive theory work, this degree includes flight training. 

This training will assist you in gaining a Recreational (RPL), Private (PPL), and Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), which enables you to fly commercially within Australia.

This degree provides extensive work-integrated learning opportunities, enabling you to gain industry experience and connections while you study.

Academic background and requirement

You must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 or an equivalent senior secondary school qualification with a minimum average of 65%.

Equivalent qualifications may also include completion of the RMIT Foundation Studies program or a recognised post-secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.

Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee entry. Your application will still need to be assessed and accepted.

 

Prerequisites:

Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) units 3 and 4:

a study score of at least 20 in one of Maths: General Mathematics, Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics or equivalent studies.
