Overview

Master of Architecture

The Master of Architecture program at UniSA offers advanced education in various aspects of architecture, including design principles, building construction, digital design, sustainability, architectural practice, and cultural history.

Through this program, students gain in-depth knowledge and skills to excel in the field of architecture and contribute to the built environment.

The Master of Architecture program emphasizes practical application through design studio classes, where students engage in designing complex projects based on current architectural practices and construction methods.

Additionally, students gain hands-on experience through industry placements, research opportunities, and coursework that focuses on practical and industry-driven skills.

To earn a degree in Master of Architecture, you are required to fulfil the curriculum consisting of eight core courses and four elective courses.

These include advanced design studios focusing on the Environment, Construction, and Context, along with supporting courses that emphasize design-based research and professional architectural practices.

In addition to the core courses, you can choose four elective courses to specialize in areas such as Design and Construct, Planning and Urban Design, Construction and Project Management, or Sustainable Design.

These elective options can be supplemented with courses that explore research, national and international study tours, and industry placements to gain practical experience in the field.
