Mount Royal University

From the time of Mount Royal's first campus - affectionately known as "the barn" - to today's high-tech university grounds, environmentally-friendly buildings and diverse educational offerings, the university has continually embraced change to meet the needs of the people and community it serves.

The university facilities and programs have expanded greatly since the 1910 founding, but the purpose remains the same - to provide personalized learning that fosters the success and satisfaction of students.

Mount Royal University is located in the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina, and the Iyarhe Nakoda.

The City of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation.

For more than 100 years, MRU has been committed to quality post-secondary education.

In classes led by great professors, you’ll be taught practical, career-ready skills.

You’ll also have access to exceptional labs and simulation centres, and have opportunities to participate in research — giving you a solid foundation for higher learning and preparing you for future graduate studies.

Mount Royal is known for providing the resources students need to succeed.
