Canadian Mennonite University

CMU offers comprehensive university education within a dynamic and diverse Christian community

Exemplary academic studies across the arts and sciences are distinguished by interdisciplinary interaction, experiential learning, and mentoring relationships between students and faculty.

Education at CMU is characterized by:

  • Excellence in teaching and learning offered uniquely in a small, nationally recognized university
  • Intentional inter-disciplinary connections
  • Academic study within a vibrant community life
  • Personal relationships with professors who are teachers and mentors as well as active in research and creative work
  • Encouragement to be nourished and challenged by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ
  • Preparation for diverse vocations and careers
  • Equipping for service, leadership, and reconciliation in the communities in which graduates live, work, and worship

In Fall 2008, Universities Canada granted CMU full membership

Along with the degree-granting charter from the province of Manitoba, this 'gold seal of approval assures students that their CMU degree will be recognized at other Canadian universities and colleges, and it facilitates ease of credit transfer.

Universities Canada makes academic transitions into graduate and professional programs increasingly routine for CMU graduates.
