As established by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, the entrance requirement is an Honours Bachelor Degree or the equivalent of honours with at least a B average (3.0 GPA) from a university recognized by the Senate of Dalhousie University. A four-year Baccalaureate degree may be considered as the equivalent of honours if there is significant evidence of independent research capacity. Students enrolled in the program come from a wide range of disciplines. Admission to the School is competitive and an academic level of a high B+ (3.3 GPA) or better is generally held by successful applicants.
