Overview

Master of Digital Innovation

Today’s rapidly changing digital landscape is changing the way industries and entire systems work, even those that have not been traditionally viewed as “digital”.

From healthcare and banking, to fisheries and oceans, companies across all industries and sectors are looking for leaders with the technical and business knowledge to help them manage change and identify opportunities in the face of digital innovation.

The Master of Digital Innovation (MDI) at Dalhousie University is a customizable interdisciplinary program where you will gain the knowledge and experience you need to boost your digital management career. This is a collaborative program where you will benefit from expertise from the Faculties of Computer Science, Management, Law and Medicine.

Customize your program by choosing:

  • An industrial internship (work term) or thesis (research) term
With an internship, you'll learn from leading experts and experience first-hand how digital innovation is transforming organizations.

With a thesis, you'll perform rigorous research under the supervision of a researcher in the field related to your certificate.

Option 1

The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program is offered at 3 levels: Foundation English, EAP 1 and EAP 2. Minimum entrance test scores depend on the course level and range between 3.5-6.0 IELTS / 30-84 TOEFL iBT. Placement testing can be done at Dalhousie. Courses range from 2 to 3 months up to 1 year.

Each level includes speaking, listening, reading, writing, pronunciation and vocabulary development.
