Overview

Master of Health Administration

The Covid-19 pandemic has taught us many things, and not least that the healthcare sector needs strong leadership, critical thought, and expert administration.

Beyond the current crisis, the country’s population is aging.

The Master of Health Administration (MHA) at Dalhousie university  is a 16 month program providing students with financial, strategic, administrative, legal, and advanced knowledge of healthcare administration.

The program is the only CAHME accredited course in Canada designed to suit students who do not yet have healthcare sector experience.

Therefore, although many of our students do have extensive experience in healthcare, you can apply for the program from any undergraduate background: recent graduates have joined us from medicine, accounting, architecture and engineering.

The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program is offered at 3 levels: Foundation English, EAP 1 and EAP 2. Minimum entrance test scores depend on the course level and range between 3.5-6.0 IELTS / 30-84 TOEFL iBT. Placement testing can be done at Dalhousie. Courses range from 2 to 3 months up to 1 year.

Each level includes speaking, listening, reading, writing, pronunciation and vocabulary development.
