Overview

Master of Science - Physiotherapy

The MScPT curriculum at Dalhousie university prepares the graduate student to be an autonomous health professional in a variety of interdisciplinary health care settings.

Emphasis is placed on a collaborative, reasoned and evidence-based approach to practice, which manifests the integration of scientific knowledge, physiotherapy skills, and professional behaviors.

The curriculum is delivered in an environment of inquiry that fosters reflective practice, confidence in problem-solving, a social conscience, and patient/family-centered communication essential to becoming effective physiotherapists in an ever-changing and complex health care environment.

Multiple educational principles are embedded in the curriculum to integrate basic and clinical sciences, advance professional development, promote evidence-based practice, and foster both intra and interprofessional collaboration.

The MSc Physiotherapy, entry to practice degree, is an intensive program completed over a 28-month period.
