The Clinical Sciences major at Western allows you to study various clinical health sciences subjects, providing a pathway into a clinical health career.
The Clinical Sciences major focuses on anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, neuroanatomy, functional anatomy, abnormal psychology, motor skill acquisition and professional reasoning.
You will study a range of core subjects that focus on professional and ethical conduct, social determinants of health, psychology and evidence-based practice.
The program is interdisciplinary, and travelling between campuses for classes may be required.
You can combine this testamur major in clinical sciences with a non-testamur major or minor in public health, health promotion, or health services management.
Alternatively, you may choose physical activity, sports development, recreation and health, or health informatics.
You also have the option to select up to 80 credit points for electives based on your interests.
Clinical Sciences students can undertake a work placement by choosing a second major in Health Promotion, Public Health or Health Services Management.
Western Sydney University seeks to enhance student learning experiences by enabling students to engage in their profession or discipline's culture, expectations and practices.
This program includes a placement or other community-based unpaid practical experience.
A mandatory work component is required to complete this program.

Academic English For Tertiary Studies
This program is designed for students with English as a second language who want to develop their language skills.
Each of the five English Academic Programs (EAPs) is taught over 10 weeks and includes 20 hours of face-to-face classroom time per week.
