The Accounting major at Lethbridge university examines the factors influencing the design, provision, quality, use, and impact of financial and non-financial information on a variety of stakeholders, including investors, managers, auditors, creditors, and organizations.
Common areas of study include capital markets' use of information, judgment, and decision-making of auditors and managers, factors influencing information quality and use, accounting information systems, ethics, performance measurement, and contracting uses of accounting information.

Highly-qualified applicants who do not meet the minimum English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirement may be issued a conditional Offer of Admission.
Conditional admission allows applicants to apply for a study permit (if necessary) and begin their studies in the University's English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program.
Applicants admitted via the Conditional English Proficiency Admission route may be permitted to begin their studies provided that the ELP requirement is met by another approved means by August 1 for the fall term, November 15 for the spring term, or April 15 for the summer term.

The MSc (Mgt) program attracts students with an interest in research. The program is designed for students with an undergraduate degree in Management, Commerce, or Business. Previous work experience is not required for admission to the program.
