The Statistics M.Sc. program at SFU is designed to give a broad grounding in several areas of statistics with a particular emphasis on theory and applications.
Students do coursework, participate in the Statistical Consulting Service, and complete a project that they present and defend orally at the end of their program.
The program combines applied and theoretical training in state-of-the-art statistical methodology, hands-on consulting experiences, a project in data analysis or in the development of new statistical methodology, and the opportunity to gain work experience and course credit through the co-operative education program.
