Founded in 1942, Fairleigh Dickinson University’s International School of Hospitality, Sports, and Tourism Management is one of the oldest hospitality programs in the U.S, and the program is currently listed by The Best Schools.org as number four out of the top 20 hospitality schools in America.

  • For MHMS admission, no IELTS band may be below 6.0 (or equivalent if using a different accepted test).
  • For applicants with one band at 5.5, the International School of Hospitality, Sports, & Tourism Management will consider these applications on a special case basis only if the applicant has exceptional credentials in other areas (i.e., undergraduate GPA, managerial work experience, etc.).
  • Special consideration will not be given to any applicants with one band below 5.5 or more than one band below 6.0.

Academic background and requirement

  • Graduated from an accredited 4-year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent.
  • Maintained a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 (“B-“)  or equivalent in their undergraduate studies.
  • Industry work experience preferred (applicants without industry work experience may be required to take foundation courses HRTM 6100 and HRTM 6200 upon evaluation).
