This two-year master qualification provides students with specialized knowledge and professional engineering skills to prepare them for a career in the broad context of electrical engineering.
The program builds on ANU’s interdisciplinary engineering focus and research expertise to give students the required skills to address complex multi-disciplinary problems, while at the same time providing advanced technical knowledge in one or more of the fields of:
Power systems, renewable energy, telecommunications systems and mechatronic systems by including specialized courses in these fields.
Students also can select computer science technical courses, breadth courses, and elective courses across the University.

Academic English Preparation
Academic English Preparation (AEP) is a 10-week program focused on English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
AEP is designed to equip international students with skills and knowledge needed to live and work in Australia, and to successfully transition to other courses at ANUC.
To enrol in AEP, you must have an IELTS of 5.0 (minimum 4.5 in each band) or an overall TOEFL IBT of 40 with a minimum of 12 in writing.
Once enrolled, you must achieve a score of 60 per cent or more to successfully complete AEP. No additional IELTS is required to progress to Foundation Studies or ANU Access.
ANU Access
ANU Access is a 10-week intensive program with a strong focus on academic English.
To be eligible for ANU Access, you must have an overall IELTS of 6.0 (with no band less than 5.5) or an overall TOEFL IBT of 68 with a minimum of 18 in writing.
A range of other English language tests are also accepted. Once you successfully complete the program you can enter your degree at ANU.
Applicants must present a 4-year Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or international equivalent with a minimum GPA of 5.0/7.0 in a cognate discipline.
