The Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering (MEng) program at UBC is a non-thesis, course-based professional graduate program in Civil Engineering and is available in the following areas of specialization:

  • Transportation Engineering

Note that the specialization does not appear on the degree parchment or the transcript.

Successful completion of the MEng degree requires the completion of 30 credits of coursework, subject to various constraints and requirements as provided below.

Academic background and requirement

  • Four-year bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
  • A minimum GPA in the third and fourth-year courses of 76%

Applicants with a degree that is not in Civil Engineering may still be admitted with proper justification. Additional coursework may be required to complete your graduate degree.

  • The Bachelor's degree of at least four years of study
  • Overall average of B+ standing.

 

India:

  • A four-year Bachelor's Degree or a Master's degree
  • First Class/Division 1 (65%) or Very Good (8 on a 10-point scale)
