This degree is often a final academic step for the musician who wishes to enter the professional world.
However, it may prove an intermediate step for those preparing for doctoral training.

The Faculty of Graduate Studies may extend a conditional offer of admission to a highly-qualified graduate applicant who does not quite meet the minimum English language proficiency requirement set by the graduate program to which the student has applied.
