This double degree program at Western Sydney University equips you with a degree in science combined with a good understanding of fundamental business issues.

Students are required to complete one of the following majors after their study commences:

Science Majors: Agrifood, Animal Science, Applied Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Zoology, Forensic Science, Environmental Health, Innovative Foods, Sustainable Environmental Futures  

Business Majors: Applied Finance, Economics, International Business, Marketing, Sport Management, Human Resource Management,  Management, Business Analytics 

This double-degree program allows you to span the commercial and scientific worlds in a way that a single degree cannot.

It permits you to multi-skill, offering diverse career paths and high marketability in multiple areas of expertise. 

As a graduate, you will be equipped to work as a scientist with a good understanding of business principles and practices. 

Alternatively, as a Business graduate, you will be well-prepared to work in science-based industries and institutions.

Work Integrated Learning

Western Sydney University seeks to enhance student learning experiences by enabling students to engage in the culture, expectations and practices of their profession or discipline.  

This program includes placement or other community-based unpaid practical experience.

There is a mandatory work component required for the completion of this program.

Academic English For Tertiary Studies

This program is designed for students with English as a second language who want to develop their language skills.

Academic background and requirement

Eligibility for admission to the Bachelor Science/Bachelor of Business is based on the following requirements

Bachelor of Science assumed knowledge: At least two of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics at HSC level.

Bachelor of Business assumed knowledge: HSC Mathematics and any two units of HSC English.

China:

  • Successful completion of Gao San with an 80% average in 3 years.

India: 

  • Indian Higher Secondary School Certificate (State Boards): Successful completion of Higher Secondary Certificate with a pass of 70% in the best 4 core subjects
  • All India School Certificate (CBSE): Successful completion of AISCE (CBSE) with an overall GPA of 60% in the best 4 core subjects
  • Indian School Certificate (ISC): Successful completion of ISCE with an overall GPA of 60% in the best 4 core subjects

Iran:

  • Successful completion of a recognised foundation studies program, 1 year of university studies or completion of a qualification equivalent to an Australian AQF Certificate IV
