This studio immersion program at Camosun offers the individual a comprehensive education in visual arts.
The program provides an intensive foundation of exploration and design to promote disciplined inquiry, experimentation, vocabulary, skill, critical awareness, and an open mind.
As the program progresses, the student continues exploring and designing with particular emphasis directed towards contemporary concepts and media and is also obligated to establish an in-depth personal research program.
You will have a portfolio representing your competence and achievement for advanced study institutes, granting agencies, applications (such as residencies and public art competitions), prospective clients, and employers.
Your Visual Arts diploma can open doors to employment opportunities and further education.
Past graduates have successfully transferred into third-year studies at universities and art colleges and have successful art showings around the globe.
