  • Optional co-op stream includes two paid co-op work terms
  • Main subject areas: Architectural, Structural, Building Code, Mechanical, Electrical, and Construction Management

  • Major Capstone Project in 3rd year has you working in a team to bring a large project from design concept through to final construction documents

  • Meets the education requirements for certification with the Ontario Building Officials Association (OBOA)

  • Provides credits towards achieving Gold Seal Certification in Construction Management administered by the Canadian Construction Association

Education pathway


Academic background and requirement

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or 19 years of age or older with mature student status
  • Grade 12 compulsory English, C or U, or equivalent, OR Conestoga College Preparatory Communications
  • Grade 12 Mathematics, C or U (Mathematics for College Technology or Advanced Functions or Calculus and Vectors or Mathematics of Data Management), or equivalent, or Conestoga College Preparatory Mathematics for Technology & Apprenticeship (MATH1385)
  • Minimum grade required for:
    • Mathematics for College Technology 65%
    • Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors 55%
    • Mathematics of Data Management 70%
    • MATH1385 65%
  • Applicants with Foundations for College Mathematics will not be considered for admission to this program. They may be considered after writing the Conestoga College Math Pre-Admissions test. Minimum grade cut-offs apply.
  • Applicants with Foundations for College Mathematics may be given an alternate offer to the one-year Technology Foundations program, which serves as a preparatory pathway into this program.
