Graduate Certificate in Hospitality and Tourism Operations Management

 Through a combination of coursework and internship, students are prepared for a successful career in a variety of jobs in the hospitality and tourism industry. 

Upon successful completion of this program at Fanshawe College, students may be eligible to apply for a 3-year work permit in Canada.

This two-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate program in Hospitality and Tourism Operations Management is designed for university and college graduates seeking a career in the tourism and hospitality sector. 

The program will focus on hospitality operations within a global economy, encompassing leadership, management, and operations of hospitality and tourism businesses of varying sizes and complexity.

The program consists of five semesters including a paid internship semester, where students can apply their knowledge in the field. 

You will have the opportunity to network with industry partners in hotels, restaurants and tourism organizations, and will learn from industry professionals with proven leadership and relevant hospitality experience. 

During this program, students will have the opportunity to complete the following industry certificates:

  • Wine & Spirit Education (WSET)
  • Prud ‘homme Beer Certification
  • Smart Serve – Beverage Sales & Service Training
  • Certificate in Revenue Management (CRMA)
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training
  • Safe Food Handling training
  • Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP)
