Master of Professional Engineering

The Master of Professional Engineering at the Swinburne University of Technology is designed to help students develop skills in professional management, communication, and research methods and principles in the engineering discipline. 

Students undertake research and project work and benefit from the industry focus of the program.

A key feature of the course is the opportunity to participate in a professional industry project which allows students to apply their knowledge and skills to industry problems. 

The project also enhances students’ awareness of the industry and provides valuable networking opportunities.

Unique to this course is the Career Success Program (CSP), which aims to improve graduate employability by focusing on preparation for post-study career opportunities.

Specialisations

Students must complete four units (50 credit points) from one of the following specialisations after their study commencing:

The admission requirements for Master of Professional Engineering consist of:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering degree, or
  • A Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree, or

  • A qualification deemed to be equivalent to any of the above.
