Master of Professional Engineering

The Master of Professional Engineering is designed to help students develop skills in professional management, communication, and research methods and principles in the engineering discipline. 

Students undertake research and project work, and benefit from the industry focus of the program. 

Students participate in a professional industry project. This experience allows students to apply their knowledge and skills to industry problems. 

They also enhance students’ awareness of industry and provide valuable networking opportunities. 

A key feature of the course is the Career Success Program which aims to improve graduate employability by focusing on preparation for post-study career opportunities.

Academic Requirements

The admission requirements for Master of Professional Engineering consist of:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering degree, or
  • A Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree, or
  • A Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Engineering degree following on from a Bachelor of Engineering degree, or
  • A qualification deemed to be equivalent to any of the above.

Required documents

  1. Academic transcripts from any previous study;
  2. Award certificates;
  3. A key/guide to the grading system;
  4. Evidence of work experience (i.e. a resume and statement of employment from your employer);
  5. Official English language translations of any documents not in English;
  6. Evidence of your English language proficiency
