The Master of Information Technology at the Swinburne University of Technology provides the knowledge and skills required to design, develop and maintain complex systems using state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies.
It includes a general introduction to ICT and provides the opportunity for students to gain advanced specialist skills in networks, software development, and information systems analysis and management.
Students also have the opportunity to apply their skills through industry-related project work, including industry-linked projects for real clients.
This project work can demonstrate students’ skills and knowledge to potential future employers.
The program incorporates units from the Graduate Diploma of Information Technology and Graduate Certificate of Information Technology.

General English is designed to improve your language skills for day-to-day situations. It can also prepare you for further English language studies.
English for Academic Purposes is designed to teach you the language skills needed to study at university.
It can help you meet the minimum English language entry requirements for entry to your chosen course at Swinburne.

The Postgraduate Qualifying Program (PQP) prepares students who do not meet Swinburne’s English language and/or academic entry requirements to undertake postgraduate study at Swinburne.
Successful completion of this program offers guaranteed entry to the first year of a postgraduate degree or double degree at Swinburne.
